Kamalrukh Khan was the wife of Wajid, who was a clinical hypnotherapist and health coach. She was a Zoroastrian (Parsi). Kamalrukh and Wajid had a loving and tumultuous relationship. Both had differing religious views, and there were family problems on both sides.

Their initial entry into the industry occurred when they created the song “Teri Jawani” for the film “Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya” (1998). In 2008, Wajid made his vocal debut by performing on the tracks “Do You Wanna Partner?” and “Soni De Nakhre,” both part of the film Partner.
