On the 5 year Anniversary of Panchayat, April 3, 2025, the official Panchayat Season 4 announcement video was made public. It was an absolute treat for the fans. The new season will debut this year, according to Jitendra Kumar, who portrays Abhishek Tripathi, also known as Sachiv Ji, in the 2-minute, 29-second video. In the humorous video, Jitendra was joined by Gia Manek, Darshan Magdum, Bhupendra Jogi and Vijay Kumar to discuss memes related to the show.
Characters from the shows Pradhan Ji, Rinki, and Vikas are shown in a promotional video, released by the OTT platform, brainstorming for the election contest between Manju Devi and Kranti Devi. Rinki suggests, in the middle of the conversation, that “our party should have an official theme song.” A musical outburst erupts as the gathering bursts into a song that promotes Manju Devi’s leadership and her aspirational plans for the village. Following this, Bhushan and Binod also start singing about Kranti Devi’s campaign.
To stop this song, Sachiv ji asks both parties to pitch their campaigns to the viewers instead. Manju Devi offers to release the season earlier than anticipated. Kranti Devi retaliates by promising an even earlier release date.

Season three of Panchayat ended with elections and politics at its core. Season four is expected to pick up from where season 3 left off and continue with the election storyline. The promotional videos released by Prime also point to an electoral season.
About Panchayat
Panchayat is a comedy-drama series that was written by Chandan Kumar and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra. The Viral Fever (TVF) produced the series for Amazon Prime Video. Amitabha Singh and Amit Kulkarni handled the series’ cinematography and editing, while Anurag Saikia composed the series’ musical score.
The show follows the experiences of an urban engineering graduate who is not familiar with village customs and who, after earning his degree, accepts a low-paying job, due to lack of improved job prospects, as a gramme panchayat secretary in the remote village of Phulera, Uttar Pradesh.

Critics gave the show largely favourable reviews, praising the main actors’ performances as well as the writing, directing, and significant technical elements.
